PLT Construction of Municipal Solid Waste

The purpose of this project is to conduct construction and installation of Landfill Power Plant with a capacity of 500 kW with Landfill Gas technology in Landfill I in Sukawinatan, Sukarami Subdistrict, Palembang City, South Sumatera Province, with scope of:
  1. Detailed Engineering Design preparation of layouts, preparing component system, conduct detailed design, draw engineering design, creating Bill of Quantity, calculating technical specifications, forming work schedules and Standard Operation Procedure
  2. Building gas well
  3. Building gas collection pipes/conductor pipes
  4. Building collecting system and gas cooler landfill
  5. Building power plant
  6. Install connection and flow of electricity to the nearest PT PLN (Persero) on-grid system with medium voltage (20 kV) coordinating with PLN as owner
  7. Installing and testing equipments
  8. Cover soil works
Construction of Landfill Power Plant is to be conducted in Landfill I Sukawinatan, RT 68, Kelurahan Sukajaya, Sukarami Subdistrict, Palembang City. Currently, Sukawinatan Landfill becomes the center of trash disposal and treatment with area of 25 hectares.

The purpose of Landfill Power Plant is to convert gas to electricity. Landfill Power Plant is divided into three main parts, which are collecting system, processing system and power generation system. On the landfill site, gas wells are constructed from drilling process. This gas will then exert gas from the process of rotting of garbage.
Landfill Power Plant is advised to be designed for :
  • Effectively collecting gases produced by the landfill
  • Maximizing flexibility of operation from the facility
Generally, equipment configuration of the gas power plant that is built is appropriate with the subsystem division with the sequence as follows :
  1. Gas Collection Unit
  2. Gas Processing Unit
  3. Power Generation Unit
  4. Transmission and Distribution Unit
Landfill Power Plant is also equipped with
  1. Flaring Unit (Security)
  2. Electrical and Control System
